Keynote - Building The Future

To advance innovative technologies for energy efficiency, the 2226 principle was developed: It features a building without heating and cooling components that maintains a comfortable room temperature of 22 to 26 degrees Celsius. This is achieved using fresh air and the heat from people and devices on one hand, and a system of ventilation flaps on the other. A pioneering building in Lustenau has provided practical proof over ten years that the 2226 concept works.
